Interview with Hamburg Senior - Pierce Mason

Hamburg rallied from an early 14-0 deficit to top Upper Dauphin 49-35 in the District 3-3A quarterfinals.  Pierce Mason ran for 268 yards and 4TD on 24 carries.  The 6’1, 185-pound senior has tied the school record with 35 career rushing touchdowns.  Xander Menapace was 13-of-17 for 141 yards.  The 6’5, 210-pound senior ran for one touchdown and threw for another.  Menapace set the Hawks’ single season record for passing yards with 1,710.  He also holds Hamburg’s career record for completions with 229.  The (9-2) Hawks travel to undefeated Wyomissing on Saturday afternoon for a semifinal matchup.
