Randolph-Macon basketball commit Madison Langdon

Madison Langdon has never let her height slow her down.  The 5'4 point guard finished her career at Berks Catholic with 1,247 points.  She was a two-time All-County selection.  "Being tall has its advantages, but it's really about heart and not height. If you work at anything, you can accomplish it. It doesn't matter how tall you are, it just matters how hard you work," Langdon told SV Sports' Paul Roberts.  As a junior, she averaged 16.5 points per game.  Langdon led the Saints in scoring again this season at 15 ppg.  She knocked down 95 three-pointers over the past two years.  Langdon dropped a career-high 32 points against Muhlenberg at the end of January.  Berks Catholic always plays an extremely challenging schedule.  The Saints ended up (12-13) with five losses coming by four points or less.  "Keep working harder, that's how you deal with adversity. I think that's a big life lesson I learned and basketball has taught me a lot of those," replied Langdon.  Berks Catholic fell to second-seeded Northern Lebanon 36-33 in the District 3-4A quarterfinals.  The Saints were eliminated in a consolation game at Susquehanna Township 44-42, despite 20 points from Langdon.  Her basketball career isn't over.  She recently committed to Randolph-Macon in Ashland, Virginia.  "I really felt at home there. The campus is beautiful. It has a great business program and it's only twenty minutes outside of Richmond," noted Langdon.  The Yellow Jackets beat Washington and Lee 65-58 for their eleventh conference championship.  They're (27-1) and ranked #14 in the country entering the NCAA Division III Tournament.  "I really want to be a part of that program because I believe they're building something special. Their work ethic is something I really like," said Langdon.
