Torre Harrison interview with SV Sports

The second annual MLK Day of Unity Basketball Clinic took place at Cheltenham High School on Sunday. Torre Harrison, the Director of Baseline Hoops, explained what his organization is trying to impart on the young athletes. "It's a good day for the kids to understand what unity is about. Learning how to be great teammates, learning about being friends, learn a lot about adversity, and lean on each other," he said. About 65 fifth through eighth grade students participated in the clinic. Harrison, who played at West Philadelphia High School, noted that this event is about more than improving skills on the court. "We're teaching the young men how to engage with one another positively, even when sometimes it may not go right. One big thing we always say is we turn to each other, not on each other," he stated. SV Sports was a proud partner of the clinic.
