Wyomissing All-State LB Ryker Jones

Ryker Jones prefers playing defense, but he's not too shabby on offense.  The All-State linebacker ran for 153 yards and two touchdowns in Wyomissing's 48-27 win over Danville at Albright College.  Jones made the most of his nine carries as the (12-1) Spartans advanced to the state semifinals for the fourth consecutive year.  The Princeton commit took a sweep down the right sideline for a 79-yard score in the opening quarter.  "The line was amazing all night. They made huge holes. All of our yards were because of them," he said.  The 6', 190-pound senior capped a 91-yard drive in the third quarter with a 4-yard TD run up the middle.  That possession lasted seven and a-half minutes and gave Wyomissing a 34-19 advantage.  Chase Eisenhower, a 215-pound sophomore fullback, finished with 93 yards and four touchdowns on 17 carries.  "The sky's the limit for him. He's a man-child. He's two grades behind me and has way more facial hair than me. He's a really good player," Jones told Paul Roberts of SV Sports.  The Spartans piled up 465 rushing yards on 57 carries against the (12-2) Ironmen.  They take on undefeated Northwestern Lehigh in the PIAA-3A semifinals on Friday night at Kutztown University.  "We set our sights on the state championship from that first day of practice in June. That's what we're after," stated Jones.
