Wyomissing Defeats West Perry in the District 3-3A Championship
Wyomissing rolled over third-seeded West Perry 63-7 in the District 3-3A championship. The (12-0) Spartans captured their 4th straight District 3 title and 11th overall. They racked up an astonishing 622 rushing yards and averaged 15 yards per carry! Senior fullback Matthew Kramer reached the end zone three times. He had 151 yards on 14 carries. Charlie McIntyre added a team-high 165 yards on just 5 touches. His touchdown runs covered 73 and 63 yards. Drew Eisenhower chipped in with 84 yards and a score on 6 carries. Wyomissing hit pay dirt on nine of its eleven possessions. West Perry reached the District 3 Final for the second time in school history. The Mustangs finished (11-2). Bob Wolfrum became the winningest coach in District 3 history with his 349th victory. The Spartans will visit unbeaten Danville in the state quarterfinals.
