Twin Valley junior and Army commit Drew Engle

Twin Valley senior Danny Brighter gave a pep talk to his team at halftime.  Whatever Brighter said, it worked.  After a sluggish first half, the Raiders outscored Exeter 4-0 in the third quarter and went on to win 10-6 at Don Thomas Stadium.  Twin Valley, ranked #4 in the state in Class 2A, trailed 3-2 entering the second quarter.  Sophomore Keenan Munn scored with four seconds left to put the Raiders on top 5-4 at the half.  Munn finished with two goals and two assists.  "He's a great leader already. He's gonna have a good future," said Drew Engle.  Munn found Cooper Glass all alone in front just 33 seconds into the third period.  Glass, a junior, reached 100 career goals earlier this week against Muhlenberg.  Carter Borkowski came from behind the net, made a great shot fake, and scored with five minutes remaining in the third quarter.  It was the second goal of the night for the sophomore.  Two minutes later, Colin Gallagher gave Twin Valley a 8-4 advantage.  He provided a pair of goals as well.  Freshman Maverik Foster fired a high shot from ten yards out that made it 9-4 with four seconds to go in the third period.  The Eagles didn't go down easily.  They pulled within 9-6 on Lucas Kabatt's goal with six and a-half minutes to play.  The sophomore had a hat trick and an assist for Exeter.  Dalton Robinson got the (9-6) Eagles off to a fast start.  The freshman contributed a goal and two assists.  However, AJ Crisi sealed the deal for the (13-3) Raiders.  He beat a defender and scored on a low shot from in front with 90 seconds left.  Dylan Corros made six saves for Twin Valley.  Exeter senior Dylan Robinson stopped nine shots.  The Raiders beat Hampton and lost to Mars 8-7 during a trip to Pittsburgh last weekend.  Mars is ranked third in the state in Class 2A.  "It was a great trip. A lot of team bonding, great competition, and I'm looking forward to that trip again," Engle told SV Sports' Paul Roberts.  Twin Valley opened a lot of eyes with a 3-2 victory over Wilson on April 9th.  The Bulldogs had won 153 consecutive games, including the playoffs, against Berks League opponents.  "It was electric, we had packed stands. As a team, we were fired up. It was a great team win," remarked Engle.  Wilson has claimed twelve straight BCIAA Championships.  "We're definitely looking to snap that streak. We're working hard every day...It would mean a lot," stated Engle.  The junior is also a standout on the football field.  He ran for nearly 1,600 yards and 14 touchdowns as a sophomore.  Unfortunately, Engle was injured in Week 1 of his junior campaign and missed the rest of the regular season.  The 5'11, 190-pound speedster piled up 216 rushing yards and scored four touchdowns in two District 3 playoff games.  Engle will play lacrosse at the next level.  He scored one goal on Thursday night at Exeter, giving him 117 for his career.  Engle needs just three more goals to break the school's all-time record.  He has committed to Army.  "Their culture and identity built around their program was something that I want to be a part of. That really stuck out to me. I love the coaching staff and the players were awesome there," said Engle.
